Physical Description

The jadian have the same appearance as humans except that they have glowing, green eyes and are taller on average.

History

The Jadians were created by the god Helm to watch over and protect magical items too dangerous to leave in the material realm. The Jadians aren’t allowed to interact with the magical items or even know anything about them, for their own protection. The Jadians only known city is atop a massive turtle’s back. The turtle walks between the Material Realm and the Temporal Realm and has been doing so for thousands of years. Only a select few times have intruders ever managed to infiltrate their city. But none have ever gotten ahold of any of the artifacts, which is why it was so surprising when an artifact managed to get stolen, but not by an intruder, but one of their own. A young man by the name of Alistair. Alistair was unhappy with the Jadians lifestyle. Spending the entirety of their lives protecting items that they knew nothing about. So one day he decided to break into their vault that kept the magical items to learn more about them. One magical item in particular caught his attention. An orb that oozed a beautiful black mist. He picked up the orb and almost immediately the mist from within the orb was absorbed into Alistair’s body. The mist gave him great powers but warped his mind. He left the Walking City and went into the Material Realm, where he proceeded to cause havoc. The Jadians, being wracked with guilt of accidentally allowing one of their own to destroy sith what they were supposed to protect, gave a group of heroes another magical item from their vault. They didn’t know much about this one in particular, only that it had the power to defeat pure darkness. The group of heroes with this new item in hand launched a crusade against Alistair, and with the item’s power were able to defeat him.

Society

There is only one known society of Jadian and that is in the Walking City. The Walking City is a city on the back of a giant turtle that walks in between the mortal realm and the Temporal Realm. The Jadian’s job as a species is to protect the magical relics that are stored within their city. They are very strict and take their job very seriously. Even though they hardly ever run into trouble, they always make sure that they hone their skills to perfection should they ever require it.
