House Worker (5e Background)

House Worker

Before your adventuring days, your work confined you to a house. Perhaps you performed chores while your spouse went to work; perhaps you were a servant of the local lord. Regardless, travelling and adventure are extremely new to you.

Skill Proficiencies: You are proficient in Perception and either Investigation or Animal Handling.

Tool Proficiencies: You are proficient in one type of gaming set and one musical instrument.

Equipment: A gaming set, a musical instrument, a token from your home (such as a drawing of your children or your spouse's handkerchief), common clothes and a belt pouch containing 5 gp.

Household

The house you work in can range from your own humble cottage to the local noble's manor. Who do you work for?

Feature: Eye for Detail

You find it easier to notice when objects in a house are out of place. Perhaps you notice a book that sits strangely on a shelf, or a dustless circle on a mantlepiece tells you something has recently been moved.

Suggested Characteristics

Despite the apparent mundane nature of domestic life, house workers are frequently embroiled in drama the likes only monarchs see. According to the house workers themselves, of course.

gollark: Yes, it is indeed very no. I am *not* giving them my real name and probably location to run my bot. Fortunately I'm safe because nobody uses ABR.
