You conjure a blade of light and impale a creature or object within range with it. Make a melee spell attack against the target. On a hit, it takes 1d8 radiant damage, or 1d12 if it is an aberration, fiend or undead.

The spell's damage increases by 1d8 or 1d12 when you reach 5th level (2d8 or 2d12), 11th level (3d8 or 3d12), and 17th level (4d8 or 4d12).
