A hexer's lackey (also called a lackey as seen further in this entry) is 1 inch tall and weighs around 1/50 of a pound. Its body is composed of super dense quartz. A lackey's primary purpose is to slightly enhance the abilities of the hexer it is bound to. A lackey cannot be bound to a hexer that already has a lackey bound to it. A lackey that is not bound to a hexer is an object and has none of the abilities listed here. A hexer may bind an unbound lackey to themselves by investing 1 hex point from their pool into it as though bestowing a hexing (they cannot use this hex point for other purposes unless they reclaim it and this investiture lasts until reclaimed).

Combat

A lackey has no combat abilities and follows the commands of the hexer it is bound to explicitly.

Hex Resonance (Su): A lackey can be affected by the hex aura of the hexer to which it is bound even if he has no line of effect or sight to it so long as it is within the range of the aura. A lackey also increases the duration of all hexings the hexer it is bound to bestows by 1 round as long as it is within 5 feet of that hexer.

Construction

A lackey is built from quartz crystal. The materials cost 500 gp.

The creature’s master may assemble the body or hire someone else to do the job. Creating the body requires a DC 15 Craft (sculpting) check.

CL 7th; Craft Construct, caster must be at least 7th level; Price 2,000 gp; Cost 1,500 gp + 60 XP.

gollark: Although what was "high-end server" specs eight years ago is now "mid-low-end desktop".
gollark: It would actually be more expensive, even counting the difference in power costs, to build a new server with modern hardware.
gollark: Yep!
gollark: Yep, it's an old enterprise server.
gollark: It's times like these when I wish technically better voxel games had actually taken off.
