Harpy (Berserk Supplement)

Harpy

Native to the forested Interstitial plane of Myrkviðr, harpies are birdlike humanoids that soar the skies. If harpies knew language, they would live by 1 word, freedom. Harpies instinctually know that their wings are meant to fly, and that the world (or realm as it may be) belongs to them. While initially resistant and aggressive, should a harpy be captured and taught the ways of language, culture, ecology, and other subjects, their outward personality almost completely flips due to their realization that knowledge and its applications only increase when given mental tools. In such cases, it isn't uncommon for a harpy to form a "life bond" with a human after this, and as with other Interstitial races, offspring commonly follow. The inverse of half-jötunn, half-harpies are relatively easy for humans to give birth to, but it can be incredibly dangerous for a harpy to do so. Half-harpy children are prone to cloud watching, and constantly flit between obsessing over a particular subject and having almost no focus whatsoever. Physically, half-harpy children are covered in freckles, and typically have brown hair.
