Great Form (Grim Alteration)

[[3e Summary:: The grim grows a size category larger.]]

Great Form

The man stood there, silent and still as the night, and then he began to glow, and suddenly he was towering above us like some terrible beast, striking down our men left and right, and before we could mount a proper defense there was nothing left of our patrol but blood and flesh splattered across the cobblestones.

Prerequisite: [[3e Prerequisite::Constitution Boon]]
Description: The grim grows to become one size category larger. A size increase affects any special ability the creature has that is affected by size. Increased size also affects a creature’s ability scores, AC, attack bonuses, and damage values as described below.

The grim doubles his height and multiplies his weight by 8. This increase changes the grim’s size category to the next larger one. The grim gains a +2 size bonus to Strength, a –2 size penalty to Dexterity (to a minimum of 1), and a –1 penalty on attack rolls and AC due to his increased size.

If insufficient room is available for the desired growth, the grim attains the maximum possible size and may make a Strength check (using his increased Strength) to burst any enclosures in the process. If he fails, he is constrained without harm by the materials enclosing him.

All equipment worn or carried by the grim is similarly enlarged. Melee and projectile weapons affected by this Alteration deal more damage. Other magical properties are not affected by this Alteration. Any enlarged item that leaves the grim’s possession (including a projectile or thrown weapon) instantly returns to its normal size. This means that thrown weapons deal their normal damage, and projectiles deal damage based on the size of the weapon that fired them. Magical properties of enlarged items are not increased by this Alteration.

  1. This modifier applies to the bull rush, grapple, overrun, and trip special attacks.
  2. Biped's height, quadruped's body length (nose to base of tail)
  3. Assumes that the creature is roughly as dense as a regular animal. A creature made of stone will weigh considerably more. A gaseous creature will weigh much less.
  4. These values are typical for creatures of the indicated size. Some exceptions exist.

Special: Multiple magical or supernatural effects that increase size do not stack with this Alteration.

gollark: What queue and why does it not work?
gollark: Do you really need to post a screen of uncommented mysterious code directly in discord?
gollark: Plus associated functions to suspend coroutines and whatnot.
gollark: ```luawhile run do local ev = {cy()} for ID, co in pairs(coroutines) do if coroutine.status(co.coroutine) == "dead" then co.status = "dead" co.running = false end if co.running then _G.process.running_ID = ID local ok, err = coroutine.resume(co.coroutine, table.unpack(ev)) if not ok then if co.error_handler then co.error_handler(err) else run = false error = err end end end endend```is what I have for that.
gollark: When I say "process" I mean "coroutine with fancy metadata being run in a loop".
