Graatel (3.5e Sourcebook)/Class Selection

Chapter 2: Class Selection

Graatel uses a modified class system for the roleplaying world. It is designed to spice things up a bit for some of the weaker classes and also give greater flexability to the players within the game. The biggest changes will be detailed fully and eventually you should be able to rapidly run through the rules that encompass the actual character creation process.

Multi Classing side note: The idea of Multi-Classing is despised for the majority of players; taking an additional class that doesn't build on your current class makes you less powerful in the short run and inhibits people from building truly unique characters. The experience reduction associated with D&D 3.5 does not exist in Graatel. Instead if you take a favored class group you gain one extra skill point and one extra hit point per level.

Class Options

Classes are broken down into a most likely to be used in this format way. This does not mean a person in a specific class is incapable of filling other roles, it just makes it a lot less likely that they will fill them superbly. If you really want a monk that tanks, go for it.

gollark: Prions also contain the sort of people who are in prisons, yes.
gollark: I mean, that's... dubious.
gollark: It is very hard to coordinate revolutions, and revolutions generally end up not really working properly anyway.
gollark: And prison has free food and housing!
