The Foundation Lands

In the foundation lands the humanoids races evolved from a common primate ancestor, fought with primitive tools, domesticated plants and animals, invented writing systems, struggled each step to conquer magical energies, created gods and many of the creatures that wander the world.

It is a world where Magic knowledge is treated as any other science and the intention and belief of the sentient Races created every plane of existence except the prime material. Magical mysteries and plots to change the very fabric of the outer planes are significant sources of power and conflict. Casters risk their lives trying to achieve effects beyond their capacity, rumors and legends can become reality through the experiments of arcanists or the faith of divine casters.

This is a world designed for full immersion in the D&D 5e system as part of a living world that makes as much sense as possible. Magic is dangerous when casters attempt spells they are not ready for.

The foundation lands is a world of constant struggle for power, magic as a war resource in large scale wars and absence of clear good and evil.
