3e Summary::You worship Mephistopheles, the God of the Pacts and Scoundrels; Your fervor leads you to develop quite the silver tongue.

Prerequisite: Must be Lawful Evil, Lawful Neutral, or Neutral Evil; Must worship Mephistopheles

Benefit: You gain a +2 racial bonus to Bluff, Diplomacy and Sense Motive. Furthermore, all are considered class skills, no matter your actual class.

Normal: A creature typically may not receive any racial bonuses to skill checks, and their class skills are determined by their class.

Often called the "God of Scoundrels", and rightfully so, Mephistopheles is the patron of thieves, tricksters, devils, and liars. Officially, he is the God who governs pacts, and his role in the Pantheon is often simplified to that degree by those who wish not to besmirch the governing body of the gods. While he is known for his followers' foul deeds, he, primarily, is only guilty of making one-sided deals that serve him, and only if the individual or group of individuals agree to such deals. He is a necessary reflection of Serberus as one of the four Major Thrones.

Those who truly subscribe to the philosophies and ideologies of Mephistopheles are truly sly. They are adept at speaking to others and misdirecting others, often to quite devilish effects; They make shrewd diplomats, counsel, and law-speakers. As such, they are almost always adept in the arts of navigating political or tense discussions among their peers, and even among strangers.
