Fencer (5e Subclass)

Fencer

Roguish Archetype

Unlike other rogues, you have found stealth to be quite lacking for your purposes. Instead, you geared your training towards direct combat. Utilizing your wit and limberness, you aim to dodge anything your opponents can throw at you and strike them in the moments when they cannot react.

Punishing Strike

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you have learned that an opponent is always off-guard when they miss. When an enemy within range of your weapon attack misses an attack or spell, regardless of their target, you can use your reaction to make a opportunity attack with a melee weapon against it.

Opportunist

Starting at 3rd level, you know exactly where to strike when given the chance. Any opportunity attacks you make with a light or finesse weapon can apply your Sneak Attack damage.

In addition, when you are not wearing armor and wielding a light or finesse weapon, add your proficiency bonus to your AC.

Reflexive

Starting at 9th level, you have trained your body to be ready for any blow. When you take the Dodge, you can make an attack with a light or finesse weapon as a bonus action.

In addition, if you are about to be knocked prone, you can roll a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw to negate it.

Combat Adaptation

Through your cunning and combat experience, at 13th level, you become able to read your foes' movements. If a foe attacks you and has used the same attack against you on the previous round, add your Wisdom modifier to your AC for that attack.

Armor Weave

At 17th level, your attacks are so precise that you can slip through armor with ease. Weapon attacks ignore AC bonuses from equipped armor and shields.

gollark: When you make an esolang in which it isn't!
gollark: "GCs are actually deterministic"? I smell an overgeneralization!
gollark: I really don't see why a nondeterministic GC matters at all in any way except for fancy performance tuning.
gollark: Don't be an unsigned integer...
gollark: After all, they deserve it.
