Making a Epoch Warrior

The Epoch Warrior is a Fighter uniquely skilled with the innate ability to control and manipulate time. It is unknown how the warrior’s talents developed, but it is known that it is not a learned ability but a genetic ability they are born with. With his powers focusing on support rather than offense or defense, the Epoch Warrior must train hard to maximize his combat effectiveness.

Abilities: The Epoch Warrior benefits greatly from a large strength score, as this makes him a better melee fighter. A high constitution score will help his health, and a high dexterity will help his armor class.

Races: Any Race can be born with the epoch ability. A race which benifits fighters would be the best likely canidate for a warrior.

Alignment: Any Alignment

Starting Gold: d4×10 gp.

Starting Age: "As fighter"

Class Features

All are class features of the Epoch Warrior.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Light, Medium, Heavy Armor, Shield Proficiency, Simple & Martial Weapon Proficiency,

Epoch Strokes/Day: A Epoch Warrior’s ability to manipulate time is limited by the Epoch Strokes he has available. His base daily allotment of Epoch Strokes is given on Table: The Epoch Warrior.

Epoch Stroke: Epoch Stroke: Using 1 available Epoch stroke, an Epoch Warrior can perform the following actions: (as long as he meets the allowed level) Epoch Stroke acts as a Touch Spell and can be used on self, allies, and foes. Do to the temporal strain brought about from using an epoch stroke, the Epoch Warrior can only use one of each type of Epoch Stroke ability per encounter or else he will stroke out and die. For instance, a level 5 Epoch Warrior could cast Haste, Slow, and Rewind during a single encounter using up all of his allowed daily slots. However he could not cast Haste three times in the same encounter. Epoch Warriors choose to manipulate time from the following list:

Haste (Ex):The ability to speed up time relative to the target. The target’s actions move faster than the relative world for a number of rounds. Any target effects such as poison are also faster. The target of Haste can perform 2 rounds of actions/effects each round while in haste.

Slow (Ps): The ability to slow time relative to the target. The Target’s speed is decreased to slower than the relative world for a number of rounds. Any target effects such as poison are also slowed. The target of Slow can perform 1/2 round of actions/effects each round while in slow. Target can choose to move or attack each round, but not both. For Example, a target with “Slow +6” can only perform 3 full round actions in his next 6 rounds.

Freeze (Sp): The ability to stop time completely relative to the target. The target’s actions are stopped for a number of rounds. Any target effects such as poison are also stopped. Target still retains mental abilities, allowing psionic abilities as well as spells with no somatic components.

Rewind (Su): The ability to reverse time relative to the target. The target’s actions are reversed for a number of rounds. Any attacks or effect made during the time being rewound are undone for the target. This affects attacks made by the target as well as attacks against the target. For instance, a subject with “Rewind +2” can remove the last 2 actions/effects dealt to and from the target. So after being attacked by a dart, a Time warrior can rewind time, removing the damage dealt from the dart.

Mass (Haste, Slow, Freeze, and Rewind) (Su): Same as above, only can target multiple persons/creatures.
