Entomanothrope (4e Template)

Entomanothrope

An entomanothrope is a [[4e Index (4e Other)#lycanthrope|lycanthrope]] (a bestial shapechanger) that changes into insects or arachnids instead of animals.
"Entomanothrope" is a template that can be applied to any humanoid. A humanoid with this template gains the spiderkind origin in addition to its normal origin. If a PC gains this template, the PC does not gain [[4e Index (4e Other)#regeneration|regeneration]], and its bite attack deals 1d8 + Charisma modifier poison damage, and entomanothropy (increase damage to 2d8 + Charisma modifier poison damage at 21st level) instead of the amount shown below.

Prerequisite: Humanoid

Entomanothrope
Spiderkind (spider)
XP Standard
Speed as creature (as creature +2, climb [as base speed] +2 (spider climb) in arachnid/insect form).
Bite ♦ at-will
Effect: Level +5 Vs. AC; 1d10 + 3 damage at 1st level, 1d10 + 4 at 4th, 2d6 + 5 at 7th, 2d8 + 6 at 15th, 2d8 + 7 at 16th, 3d6 + 8 at 19th, 3d8 + 9 at 25th and 3d8 + 10 at 28th, and ongoing 5 poison damage (save ends), and entomanothropy.
Change Shape ♦ at-will
Effect: An entomanothrope can alter its physical shape to appear as a specific insect or arachnid (determined when the entomanothrope gained this template), or as its origional form. It cannot use its bite attack in its normal form, and cannot use weapons in its arachnid/insect form.
Entomanothropy
Level 7 Disease
The inner spider bursts out of the unfortunate victim, and the victim contracts entomanothropy.

Stage 0: the target recovers from the disease.

Stage 1: The target takes a -2 penalty to will defense.
Stage 2: While bloodied, the target must make a saving throw at the end of each turn. If it fails, on its next turn it makes a melee attack against an adjacent ally.
Stage 3: The target attacks the nearest creature that it can see. If it can't see any other creatures, it does nothing but move in a randomly chosen direction.

Check: At the end of each extended rest, the target makes an Endurance check if it is at stage 1 or 2.
10 or Lower: The stage of the disease increases by 1.
11 - 15: No change.
16 or Higher: The stage of the disease decreases by 1.

gollark: What do the people of here think of Erlang?
gollark: I've finished rewriting my project in Rust (using warp - it was a very simple project, and I started yesterday using rocket, which I decided I didn't like), and it works nicely, yay! The new version is a lot faster and should actually work well on my phone.
gollark: Specifically, music file metadata parsing (I'm using an old binding to `taglib` for that).
gollark: Libraries for the specific random stuff I need are already scarce in Rust. I don't want to use what's probably a less supported language.
gollark: What are good Rust web frameworks these days? I'm rewriting my project in Rust (the backend part is only 50 lines, so it should be easy) but don't really know the current state of things.
