El-Human (5e Race)
El-Human
"If anything, an El-Human is but an abomination, animals, all of them!" a scruffy old man - whom was clearly drunk - had exclaimed. The young boy he was arguing with - who had a pair wolf ears perched atop his head - looked offended, before speaking in the accent of the northern civalizations. "While we El-Humans were born of the conjoining of a creature and man, we do not necessarily take after our beastly parents, since we are bastard children, more often than not. We have been taught how to live civilized lives, and only the more barbaric people, most often the barbarians, have taught us to embrace our beastly heritage. So mind your manners, son" the boy had stated in a very harsh manner. "But you El-humans are nothing but animals!" the drunken man had stated. "Mind if I tell you what the term 'El-Human' means? It is a category that puts humans and elves who have the blood, traits, or other aspects of, say, a lycan, or a vampire. Hell, a half dragon and dragonborn would would most likely fit in this category, but we don't put them in it because we know that they are more than just half human half dragon, and a dragonborn is a different race altogether!" the boy bellowed in an even harsher than before.
Physical Description
While the El-Humans vary according to their heritage, they can range from a short human with wolf ears and a wolf tail, to a elf with draconic features. Even with this vast pool of differences, they all shair one thing in common, they are humans or elves with animal, monster, or draconic features.
History
El-Human is a term to describe any half-bred creature - mainly ones who are half human half, mythical creature - and is often used as a race for the halfbred creatures, ranging anywhere from a young person with wolf ears and a wolf tail to the vampiric Dhampir - half vampire, half human - to a mighty Half Dragon. As such of their heritage, they are usually shunned by those whom think of themselves higher than them, those who think of them as abominations, and those who are just drunk. Most scholars and sages understand them, seeing how they do extensive research on the race, amoung other things, of course. It is said that a El-Human were originally welcomed in society, as records of races such as the Half Elf, Half Dragon, and Half Dwarf - to name a few - were prominent members of society.
Society
While many are shunned by the ignorant, they try to make do with what they have. Because of this hardship, many become mercenaries to fight for the day that their descendants would not have to endure the hardships they suffer from. Some become Sages and Scholars that have an extensive knowledge on the world, and support many with knowledge, and not war. Some become both, and in a way, they become tacticians who knew what they were doing and could handle themselves in a fight, if need be. But all of them share the hardships of racism and the such.
