Dragon Warrior (3.5e Class)
Dragon Warrior
A Dragon Warrior is someone who uses the powers of his dragon 'Parent' to empower himself(Or her) to turn enemies to dust.
Making a Dragon Warrior
A Dragon Warriors strength depends fully on whatever Dragon he had as a 'parent' Which may all range from, buffing others, buffing himself, or simple crushing all that stand before him though sheer force.
Abilities:The required abilityscores are Unique for each Dragon Warrior. An Iron Dragon would build his stats around Physical power, while an Lightning Dragon would do a Mix of Str and Int. An Air Dragon would lean towards the Mental stats such as Wis,Int and Cha. And a fire based would be Str and wis. Other dragon types exist ofcouse.
Races:Any infant of any Race would be able to become a Dragon Warrior.
Alignment:Whatever drives a Dragon Warrior is purely up to each individual and no specific alignment is common. The alignment of a Dragon Warrior usually will tend to be based on that of the Dragons who raised them.
Starting Gold: Like Fighter
Starting Age:Simple. In some circumstances Dragon Warriors may be of a newer 'Generation' Meaning that they've found a rare Lacrimia which allows them to gain the same abilities of other normal dragon warriors.

Class Skills (4 + Int modifier per level, ×4 at 1st level) |
Class Features
Weapon and Armor Proficiency:Dragon Warriors are do not have any Armour Proficiency. Wearing Armour would result in the character not getting any bonuses from his class, while wearing armor. Proficient in simple and Martial weapons.
Air Dragon Warrior's:
Air Based Dragon Warrior's use their Divine Magic to heal and empower people. To do so, they draw power from the Cleric's Spell list with the exception: They are unable to use any of the Damage spells and or spells involving dominion over undead, or the likes. granted by the cleric list. Spells per day are equal to that of a Cleric, of her level. But are Int-Based. Spell DC's are: DC 10+Level+Int Mod
Note: I'll use the Fire type Dragon Warrior as Example for the abilities below.
Roar of the fire Dragon:
A Line of flame shoots from your mouth. Any creature in the area of the flames takes 1d4 points of fire damage per caster level. Flammable materials burn if the flames touch them. Creatures hit with this ability must make a Reflex save to turn out the fire. If they fail this save repeat each round. 1d4 Recharge Rate.
Range: 30 ft+level
Notes:
The Roar of the dragon used by Air types is under the effect as Gust of wind. And everything hit counts as two size categories smaller. This is countered by a Fortitude save.
DC: 10+½Level+cha
Iron Types do 1d6 insted of 1d4 due to them not Scorching things in flame
Lightning types have the ability to paralyze everything they hit. Instead of a Reflex this is countered by a Fortitude save.
DC: 10+½Level+int At 19th Level the damage dice for Roar of the Dragon Increases by one size.
Thanks for the Meal!:
Dragon Warrior's have the ability to devour things made up from there parents elemental aspects. So a Fire type would eat flames, Iron.... Iron... And an Air would eat air. However! Due to the nature of Dragon Warrior's magic, they are not able to consume there own abilities and eat them. So no matter how much a you want to. Your Character CANNOT eat his own flames.
Note: This is made considering the possibility that a DM may throw a Dragon Warrior of the same type as you at the group and to ensure you don't just blast yourself for healing.
That aside. Eating objects/Materials/energy of your type will allow you to regain 2d4 Health points. Which increases each 5th level and adds 1d4 each time it increases. So at 20th level you would regain 6d4 Health Points.
Improved Unarmed Strike:
At 2nd level, Dragon Warrior's gain Improved Unarmed Strike as a bonus feat. A Dragon Warrior’s attacks may be with either fist interchangeably or even from elbows, knees, and feet. This means that a Dragon Warrior may even make unarmed strikes with her hands full. There is no such thing as an off-hand attack for a Dragon Warrior striking unarmed. A Dragon Warrior may thus apply her full Strength bonus on damage rolls for all her unarmed strikes. Critical treat range is 19-20/x2 with this class ability for unarmed attacks.
Talons of the Dragon:
At the 3rd level Dragon Warrior's gain Talons of the Dragon. This ability allows them add additional power to jumps and can only be done in a line. Roll a jump check. Add the first number on the result to your movement as you leap forward, flames blazing after you. Inflicts 1d8+level dragon element damage to the target area around 10ft radius. All characters in the area must roll a DC 12+STR mod+level Reflex save to avoid damage being stunned for 1 round.
Note: Each time a Dragon Warrior gains this ability add additional Seven. With the exception of the 18th level where its Nine.
Claws of the Dragon:
At 4th level The Dragon Warrior gains the Evolved feat: Energy Control However. He MUST choose the energy type of his dragon parent.
Scales of the Dragon:
at 5th level Dragon Warrior's gain Scales of the Dragon which increases Natural armor by Four. At 7th level this increases by Six. At 9th this increases by 10. At 17th This increases by 14.
Wings of the Dragon:
At 6th level Dragon Warrior's can at will Sprout a set of wings, depending on there energy type.
While active this will allow them to gain a flight speed of double there movement speed, at a good mobility.
Note: Everytime Dragon Warriors gain this ability, there flight speed increases by 10. And at 18th level mobility increases by 1 And perhaps some wanted or unwanted attention.
Scent:
This extraordinary ability lets a Dragon Warrior detect approaching enemies, sniff out hidden foes, and track by sense of smell.
Dragon Warrior's can with the scent ability detect opponents by sense of smell, generally within 60 feet. If the opponent is upwind, the range is 120 feet. If it is downwind, the range is 30 feet. Strong scents, such as smoke or rotting garbage, can be detected at twice the ranges noted above. Overpowering scents, such as skunk musk or troglodyte stench, can be detected at three times these ranges.
The Dragon Warrior detects another creature’s presence but not its specific location. Noting the direction of the scent is a move action. If it moves within 10 feet of the scent’s source, the creature can pinpoint that source.
Dragon Warrior's with the Track feat and the scent ability can follow tracks by smell, making a Wisdom check to find or follow a track. The typical DC for a fresh trail is 10. The DC increases or decreases depending on how strong the quarry’s odor is, the number of creatures, and the age of the trail. For each hour that the trail is cold, the DC increases by 2. The ability otherwise follows the rules for the Track feat. Dragon Warrior's tracking by scent ignore the effects of surface conditions and poor visibility.
Dragon Warrior's with the scent ability can identify familiar odors just as humans do familiar sights.
Water, particularly running water, ruins a trail for air-breathing creatures. Water-breathing creatures that have the scent ability, however, can use it in the water easily.
False, powerful odors can easily mask other scents. The presence of such an odor completely spoils the ability to properly detect or identify creatures, and the base Survival DC to track becomes 20 rather than 10.
Half Dragon Traits:
At the 8th level, Dragon Warrior's become the closest to a half dragon they possible. They gain the Half dragon Template but with a few changes. They do not gain a half dragons Breath weapon and the bonus skill set.
Immortality:
An Immortal creature does not take any penalty from aging and do not die of old ages
Dragon's Rage:
Dragon Warrior's can fly into a rage a certain number of times per day(Charisma mod). In a rage, Dragon Warrior's temporarily gains a +8 bonus to Strength, a +8 bonus to Constitution, and a +4 morale bonus on Will saves, but he takes a –4 penalty to Armor Class. The increase in Constitution increases the Dragon Warrior's hit points by 4 points per level, but these hit points go away at the end of the rage when his Constitution score drops back to normal. (These extra hit points are not lost first the way temporary hit points are.) While raging, Dragon Warrior's cannot use any Charisma-, Dexterity-, or Intelligence-based skills (except for Balance, Escape Artist, Intimidate, and Ride), the Concentration skill, or any abilities that require patience or concentration, nor can he cast spells or activate magic items that require a command word, a spell trigger (such as a wand), or spell completion (such as a scroll) to function. He can use any feat he has except Combat Expertise, item creation feats, and meta-magic feats. A fit of rage lasts for a number of rounds equal to 3 + the character’s (newly improved) Constitution modifier. Dragon Warrior's may NOT prematurely end his rage. At the end of the rage, Dragon Warrior's loose the rage modifiers and restrictions and becomes fatigued (–2 penalty to Strength, –2 penalty to Dexterity, can’t charge or run) for the duration of the current encounter. But the dreadful thing about Dragon Warrior's rage is that they cannot discern friend from foe. Friendly fire can be avoided by rolling a DC 15+(20-level) will save.
Dragon Warrior's can fly into a rage only once per encounter. Requirements for going into a rage is that the Dragon Warrior's be dropped to 25% Health.
Dragon Rising:)
At 20th Level Dragon Warrior's gain the true powers of the dragon sleeping within. This effect results in them gaining Ability scores, as well as them acutally counting as Dragons for all intends and purposes.
Iron: +5Str, +5Con, +5Dex.
Lightning: +5Str, +5Int, +5Dex.
Fire: +5Str, +5Wis, +5Dex.
Air: +5Int, +5Wis, +5Cha.

Religion: Religions that focus around a Dragonic Deity.
Other Classes: They love to party, have fun and generally just have a good time, so pretty much all classes are fine with them. Of course this depends on your idea of 'fun'
Combat: Probably the first to engage in melee combat.
Advancement: Perhaps Multiclass Fighter, Barbarian or some other melee class. Or a healer class for the Air dragon. But then again thats all up to the individual.

Dragon Warrior Lore

DC | Result |
---|---|
15 | They call themselves childrend of dragons, become highly offended if you claim them to be liars, which will surely result in hostile actions from the Dragon- Warriors side. |
25 | Depending on their personality, you can easily guess what Dragon 'Parent' they had. |
35 | Dragon Warrior's may seem of like an awful hostile lot, they're however quite friendly, and would even die for their friends. |
45 | Dragon Warrior: Bahamut has a good right punch.... ...... ......... |
Dragon Warrior's in the Game
The Draconic nature of a Dragon warrior makes most people wary of them, while animals and spirits see them as kin due to their elemental closeness to nature.
Adaptation: Any element or force can be used as a Dragon warrior's focus, and any magical creature could potentially train them in their art for different paths.
