Dragon Fang (3.5e Equipment)
Dragon Fang: A dragon fang is a +3 dancing kukri crafted from alchemical silver.
This kukri has a mirror finish that doesn't seem to tarnish or scratch. It has the ability to send a spell back at the caster, however, it only turns spells that have you as a target. Area effect spells are effected, but only if you are a target of the spell. Spell turning fails to stop ranged touch spells. This ability can be used as a free action once per round (only happens once between each of your turns). A pair of these weapons will allow for two reflects per turn.
The Dragon Fang was made by a legendary blacksmith who was said to have forged this weapon for a group of weapon masters, who consisted of 7 experts in their specific weapons. This was made as a pair for a man who was trained in a style where he would systematically counter the spells of their enemy. The kukri are believed to be made of alchemical silver because the man had lost his family to a pack of lycanthropes when he was young, from that day on, the man had feared the return of the were-creatures who might finish what they started. It is said that the man had given his blades to a young boy who had experienced a traumatic event eerily similar to his run in with the shapechangers. Since then, the blades have been passed down from victim to victim until the blades fell off the radar and were never heard from again.
It is said that there are a few blacksmiths who have had the privilege to have examined the blades and understand it to the point of recreation. Though few and far between, there are stories of blacksmiths who were apprentices of those original smiths and have inherited the ability of making of the sleek pair of weapons themselves.
