Draco (5e Subclass)
Draco
Prerequisite: Dragonborn
Riding the back of a dragon, you bring you blade down and claw out it's eyes, sending it spiraling to the earth. You emerge from the wreckage with a grin on your face.
Claws of the Dragon
You gain the ability to use magically manifested claws.
Starting at 3rd level when you gain this Martial Archetype, your unarmed strikes now deal additional damage equal to your constitution modifier (minimum of 1) and the damage type is changed from bludgeoning to the type affiliated with your Dragon color. Whenever you take the attack action, you may as a bonus action make an unarmed strike.
- You gain a natural AC of 13 + Your Dexterity modifier.
Dragonic Knowledge
Starting at 7th level, you gain proficiency in the Nature skill, or expertise if you are already proficient. You may now without using an action call upon lore of dragons. You make a Wisdom (Nature) skill check to do so. The DC for this skill check is 8 + the creatures CR. If you are successful then you gain knowledge of all vulnerabilities, resistances, immunities, and whether the creature's Challenge Rating is Lower, Equal, or Higher than your level. If the creature is the same Dragon Type as yours then you also gain the knowledge of any and all actions, reactions, and legendary actions it has (only in name). You may only do so if the creature has the Dragon tag on it, are Kobolds, Half-Dragons, or Dragonborn.
Ancestral Strike
Starting at 10th level, you gain the ability to imbue your strikes with the damage of your draconic ancestry. The first time you hit with a melee weapon attack on your turn, you deal additional damage equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum of 1) affiliated with your Dragon type.
Dragonblood
Starting at 15th level, you're blood now runs deep with the blood of your ancestors, you now no longer have to make a check to recall dragon lore, you also gain immunity to the type of damage associated to your dragon color.
Ancestral Bond
Starting at 18th level, you are the embodiment of a Dragonborn reaching its full potential, you gain an extra use of your dragon breath.
You also gain the following:
- As a bonus action, you may sprout wings on your back giving you a fly speed of 40 feet. However, your clothes and armor are torn and cause your armor to take a -1 penalty to AC the first time you use this ability unless you spend an extra 100 gold to get them crafted to allow room for your wings. If you choose to do this after an armor has been damaged, it will cost an extra 50 gold, which causes the armor to resume its original AC and give way for your wings.
