Dedede Spawn (5e Race)

Dedede Spawn

Physical Description

Dedede Spawn are large-bellied, loud-beaked avian humanoids with deep blue skin and short, penguin-like legs. A Dedede Spawn comes into being out of thin air, fully formed and ready to carve a niche for itself out of the local territory.

History

The origins of this race can be traced back to the Great King Dedede, who somehow managed to reproduce alone and spawn this proud, stupid, and powerful race of creatures. Some speculate that he either stole from or struck a deal with the demigod Raxivort. Regardless, after King Dedede suffered some sort of defeat (or betrayal), his spawns scattered all across the lands and took up residence wherever they landed. Over time, they spread further across the world, much to the dismay of everyone else. Today they can commonly be seen terrorizing small farming towns.

Society

Dedede Spawn are notoriously proud and assertive like their father. In today's society, they look for small settlements to assert themselves over, or to rule as their own tiny kingdom as their infamous father once did long ago in the Dream Land territories. Some are very zealous about this, but others take a more mellow attitude and see it as a hobby.

Dedede Spawn Names

Dedede Spawn often simply call themselves Dedede, being rare enough that there's generally little point in differentiating between them by name. In the event that two meet, they might continue to call themselves and each other by their predecessor's name, refer to one another only by insults, or refer to each other by their place of origin. A third party is likely to adopt the latter approach.

gollark: However, the actual `reboot` command in the sandbox does *not* reboot it fully.
gollark: I can't get around that.
gollark: No, it does.
gollark: - PotatOS uses a single global process manager instance for nested potatOS instances. The ID is incremented by 1 each time a new process starts.- But each nested instance runs its own set of processes, because I never made them not do that and because without *some* of them things would break.- PotatOS has a "fast reboot" feature where, if you reboot in the sandbox, instead of *actually* rebooting the computer it just reinitializes the sandbox a bit.- For various reasons (resource exhaustion I think, mostly), if you nest it, stuff crashes a lot. This might end up causing some of the nested instances to reboot.- When they reboot, some of their processes many stay online because I never added sufficient protections against that because it never really came up.- The slowness is because each event goes to about 200 processes which then maybe do things.
gollark: WRONG!
