Daughter of Roses (3.5e Creature)

The girl is tiny. She walks through the suddenly still streets, past people who seem frozen in place. She stops and stares at a young man for a while with a kindly smile, then turns away and keeps walking. Behind her, the man bursts into tears. In her hands she has a bouquet of roses, more beautiful than even a master botanist could grow.

Curse of Roses Daughters of roses are blessed by their nameless, hermaphroditic master to bleed only during menstruation. Thus, whenever a daughter of roses is dealt damage in such a way as to make her bleed, the attacker takes an equal amount of damage (Fortitude DC 17 half, DC 19 when menstruating). An attacker that kills a daughter of roses with an attack that makes her bleed dies outright (Fortitude DC 17 negates, DC 19 when menstruating). Nonlethal damage doesn't usually cause bleeding. The save DCs are Charisma-based.
Those who do not bleed are hard to kill.

Daughters of roses are the servants of a strange god-being whose name has never been spoken by mortal lips. The creature, if indeed it truly exists, can give immense power to female children if they come to it not long after their menstruation has begun. The creature gives them eternal youth, immortality, and sorcerous powers. In exchange, the "daughters" seek out small villages and hamlets, and bestow bewitched roses to unfortunate men. Such a rose is a death sentence: years can pass by without any visible effect, but eventually, the man abandons his life and seeks out the coven, who copulate with him and sacrifice him in a bloody display. The daughters look innocent enough: they resemble beautiful young maids clad in simple, white robes, and only the occasional spatter of red on white reveals their monstrosity.

Combat

Daughters of roses are protected by their god-being through unnatural stamina, as well as the blood-curse that allows the them to work their witchery unmolested. Thus, they're not afraid to engage even powerful foes. A solitary daughter always tries to fight from a distance, using spectral hand to use their touch attack from a distance, and take over weakened minds with dominate person. A group of daughters spread combat roles among them: some hold the front and use their will-sapping touch, others stick back and dominate foes. The daughters show a particular cruelty towards animals: they take great pleasure in killing charmed animals for fun.

Menstruation

The daughters of roses gain incredible magical prowess during their menstruation. A menstruating daughter has spell resistance 30, Charisma 20, caster level 10th, and gains a variety of spell-like abilities, which are unique to a given daughter but always include sympathy, which the daughters cast on their roses. A sympathy spell cast by a daughter of roses can target a specific creature if the daughter so wishes. Below is an example list of one daughter's abilities. During their menstruation, a daughter's CR is 10.

Spell-Like Abilities (Sp): At will—darkness, levitate, magic missile; 3/day—black tentacles, reverse gravity; 1/day—baleful polymorph (DC 20), sympathy (DC 23). Caster level 10th. The save DCs are Charisma-based.
