Dasoon (Shard Ne'Vaal Supplement)

Also known as the Bastion of the East, Dasoon is the continent which comprises much of the older, living civilizations.

Kingdoms

Ba Xin

Ba Xin is probably one of the oldest living civilizations in the Old World, with roots spanning back to the Astral Period. They host a large and diverse population and many ancient secrets which have no doubt contributed to their technological and political success. Over time, much of their populations have leached into the nearby lands, spreading their culture. They are considered the primary kingdom of Dasoon.

Jjan

Jjan is a mid-sized kingdom of rich history with ancestry in both Ba Xin and Karashi culture. Originally a land settled by nomads, Jjan boasts a vibrant and stringent society based on empowerment of people through knowledge, with systems of scholarship borrowed from Ba Xin. While they have their own writing system, Koryo, it shares close roots with both the Shou and Wa-an phonetics systems.

Toryu

Toryu is an island nation located just off the northeastern coast of Dasoon. They have roots as nomads as well as scholars from Ba Xin who eventually established their own nation. Being close to the equator, Toryu boasts a well-rounded climate, allowing for vast development of their agricultural sector. However, they have a strict hierarchical society which emphasizes discipline and military might as well.

Landmarks

Karas Plains

Tribes of horsemen and other primal riders populate these plains, which span areas ranging from near arid to green. These tribes are typically nomadic. It is believed many of the original nomadic tribes which formed the modern nations originated from here. They therefore do not refer to themselves as a cohesive country.

gollark: I think the problem is that everyone thinks "Oh wow, CC is so unlike Windows! And I have never seen any desktop OS but Windows! I must make it more like Windows so it is more familiar. Clearly nobody else has done this, or it would already be the default, because this is obviously better"
gollark: > Instead write an actual program. Something fun, something useful, something completely useless and over-complicated. Whatever. As long as you learn a ton and have fun I don't care - that is what ComputerCraft is about :). But please don't just make an operating system.
gollark: Importantly:> Don't. Find something else interesting to write. Most operating systems end up being glorified startup screens. The ones which don't generally opt for features which are "cool" or exist in real life operating systems rather than those which make life easier for the user.
gollark: Oops, sent it twice!
