Darkwood moss

Physical Description

this dark purple moss grows to about 3" it only grows near darkwood and other such magic trees. it is fast growing and radiates a slight evocation aura.

In old gnome tales the gods put this bloom on this plane as a way of rewarding those who are not afraid of the unusual. elves say that it was created by a powerful druid who died on a darkwood tree so that her blood stains her creation to this day.

Ecology

darwood moss is spread when it releases its blue spores across the land.

Growth and Harvest

darwood moss starts out life as a blue spore then if it land near a darkwood tree it takes root and starts to grow extremely quickly covering the tree in a few days

Edibility

this moss not only is edible but when prepared properly makes a healing draught that cures 1d8 hp.

darkwood moss is also use as a dye when boiled in water it creates a vivid purple dye
