College of the Acrobat (5e Subclass)

College of the Acrobat

Members of this college focus on the motions of the body whether it be acrobatic feats or dancing.

Bonus Proficiencies

When you join this college, you gain proficiency in the Acrobatics skill. If you already possess this skill, you gain expertise in addition to the Expertise feature gained at this level.

Showmanship

Beginning at 3rd level, if a spell requires both verbal and somatic components, you are able to forgo using the verbal components, utilizing extensive acrobatic feats or dance routines. If the spell requires material components, you are still required to provide them or use a spellcasting focus if possible.

Evasion

Beginning at 6th level, you can nimbly dodge out of the way of certain area effects, such as a red dragon's fiery breath or an Ice Storm spell. When you are subjected to an effect that allows you to make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, you instead take no damage if you succeed on the saving throw, and only half damage if you fail.

Fluid Motions

Beginning at 14th level, due to your honed acrobatic prowess, you receive the following benefits:

You gain a climb speed equal to your walking speed.

You take half damage from falling and you can fall double the amount you could before taking damage.

You are unaffected by difficult terrain.

Opportunity attack rolls are made with disadvantage against you.
