College of Hymn (5e Subclass)

Bard College: College of Hymn

Bards of the College of Hymn devotes their talents to sing, dance, and act for the glory of the divine entity they swore to serve. Their performance is a panegyric to the solemn and heavenly will, at its finest. In most cases, bards of the College of Hymn travels between towns, serving as a choir at the mass or ceremonial events for the local church, or preaching the new believers the great legends and lores their entity holds.

Bonus Cantrip

When you join the College of Hymn at 3rd level, you learn spare the dying and one additional cleric cantrip of your choice. These cantrips count as bard cantrip for you, but do not count against a number of bard cantrips you know.

Hymn of Inspiration

Also starting at 3rd level, you gain the ability to chant a divine hymn that invigorates your allies. When a creature that has a Bardic Inspiration die from you regains hit point, it can roll the Bardic Inspiration die it has and regain additional hit points equal to the die roll.

Chant of Protection

When you reach 6th level, you gain the ability to perform a chant of divine words that protects you and your allies from hostile environments. As an action, you can start a performance that lasts until the end of your next turn. During that time, you and any friendly creatures within 30 feet of you have advantage on saving throws made to avoid or resist disease, poison, and traps. A creature must be able to hear you to gain this benefit. The performance ends early if you are incapacitated or silenced or if you voluntarily end it (no action required).

Hymn of Restoration

Starting at 14th level, your divine hymn can restore your allies' wounds and relieves their pain. As a bonus action, you can expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration, and choose a friendly you can see within 30 feet of you. Roll one Bardic Inspiration die. That creature regains hit points equal to the dice roll plus your Charisma modifier (a minimum of 1).

Additionally, you can expend two uses of your Bardic Inspiration to remove all levels of exhaustion a creature is currently affected by. This cannot cure exhaustion caused by drowning/asphyxiation but can restore exhaustion caused by starvation or thirst, literally sustaining the creature with divine energy.
