Clauth (3.5e Deity)

Clauth was an aspiring necromancer who taught the best of the best. 'The Necromancer' was his brightest student. When at last Clauth ascended to demigodhood, 'The Necromancer' stabbed him in the back and locked him within the darkest caverns of the Necromancer's Isle. There in the dark caves, the immortal Clauth was slowly torn apart by ravenous bugs, until only a skeleton remained his ruined robe was all that covered his bony form. When 'The Necromancer' died, Clauth was forgotten by all but those who had learned from his students, Zinn Keenblade and Alodis Kirrs. Zinn's Ring of Neverending Life worships Clauth under Zinn's head necromancer, Puripo Mindare. Many of Alodis Kirrs' students in his Academy of the Necromantic Arts in Loyket are devout worshippers of Clauth.

Clauth does not care what his followers do, as long as they learn to grow more and more powerful in necromancy.

Clergy and Temples

Most temples of Clauth are small crypts. Most of his clerics wear hooded robes that closely resemble Clauth's.

Appearance

Clauth looks like a skeletal body with a hanging spine that meets no legs. In his cloak, he looks like an emaciated figure that seems to hover above the ground a couple of inches.
