Circle of the Path (5e Subclass)

Druid Circle: Circle of the Path

Circle of the Path druids remember and still practice the old ways. They find a path using wild shapes and casting spells similar to ways that had come before.
(This circle was created to bring back some of the druid abilities and flavor of previous editions mainly by altering the timing of some druid special abilities. It aims to make those abilities useful at a more average level of play, without becoming game breaking.)

Bonus Cantrip & Spell

At 2nd level, you gain the Fire Bolt cantrip and the Find Familiar spell. These count as Druid spells for you, but do not count against your number of spells known.

Freedom of Movement

At 4th level, your wild shape choices are no longer restricted by movement type.

Beast Speak & Spell

Starting at 6th level, when using wild shape, you are able to speak normally in any language you know. You can perform the somatic and verbal components of druid spells while wild shaped, but you aren't able to provide material components.

Elemental Wild Shape

At 10th level, you can expend two uses of Wild Shape at the same time to transform into an air elemental, an earth elemental, a fire elemental, or a water elemental.

Thousand Forms

By 14th level, you have learned to use magic to alter your physical form in more subtle ways. You can cast the Alter Self spell at will.
