Circle of Chaos (5e Subclass)
Circle of Chaos
Druid Subclass
Druids of the Circle of Chaos are Druids that, instead of learning the natural order of the universe and the laws of nature, have instead learned the chaotic and sometimes malevolent forces of its darker places. Druids in control of this dark power use it to protect the ideas of chaotic thinking, and the universe's more chaotic creations.
You learn these spells at the appropriate levels, they are considered Druid spells for you, and you always have them prepared. This does not count against the number of spells you can prepare daily.
Druid Level | Spells |
---|---|
3rd | crown of madness |
5th | bestow curse |
7th | confusion |
9th | mislead |
Bonus Cantrip
When you choose this circle at 2nd level, you learn one additional druid cantrip of your choice.
Dark Magic
Starting at 2nd level, you can choose spells from the warlock spell list when preparing spells.
Circle Forms
Instead of the animal shapes available to a druid of other circles, you can instead take the form of an aberration or monstrosity. At 2nd level, you can take the form of an aberration or monstrosity with a combat rating of 1 or lower. From level 6 onwards, you can take the form of an aberration or monstrosity with a combat rating equal to half your level.
Chaotic Strike
From 6th level onwards, the attacks of your wild shape form count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.
Demonic Form
Starting at 10th level, you can use two charges of your wildshape to take the form of a powerful chaotic fiend. You can choose to take the form of either a Barlgura or a Barbed Devil.
Chaotic Resistance
Your knowledge of the chaos of magic makes you resistant to its power. Starting at 14th level you have advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
