With the chain-dagger you can make melee attacks against enemies that are 2 squares away from you as well as against adjacent enemies. You can make opportunity attacks only against creatures adjacent to you and can flank only enemies adjacent to you.

Disarming

You can use the chain-dagger to make a disarming attack.

Tripping

You can use the chain-dagger to make a tripping attack.

Climbing

The chain-dagger grants you a +2 bonus to Athletics checks made to climb, although this does not stack with other similar bonuses granted by adventuring equipment.
