History

Spirits once cursed a villager of Abuta Toyoura to see the destruction of his town. They sent Akkorokamui to fulfill this curse, who caused rampant destruction throughout the town, slaughtering so many that the streets were filled with crimson blood. After hearing the townsfolk tremble with fear, the sea kami, Repunkamui, cast Akkorokamui her into the sea. She began to transform after that, her hair turning to swarming tentacles. This only made her more vicious and she began to attack the nearby fishermen. Repunkamui poisoned Akkorokamui, giving her great pain, but Akkorokamui learned to harness the venom and used it to attack her prey.
