This page is incomplete and/or lacking flavor. Reason: Very little usable information exists for describing the race. Also there are blatant contradictions (i.e. associates with dark elves but dislikes evil) throughout the racial description. Since it is actively being worked on in the last 6 months I will forgo tagging for deletion for now.

Pond Rainids

Personality

Cave rainids are wise and industrious, and are often the most welcoming and kind of all the peoples in their ecosystems, which tend to be the unforgiving troglododytic sort. They are strict and stern, but fair and judicious. Many of them ascribe various myths to the world outside of the caves they call home, seeing them as a strange realm, where the ceiling changes constantly in various cycles of light and darkness.

Physical Description

Cave rainids are about six feet tall, and are lean and tend to have a portly build, even their warriors. Their faces are featureless aside from a few holes for a mouth, nostrils and ears, but with no lips, external ears or nose. The whiter races generally live in aquatic caves and the yellower races in air-breathing caves

Relations

Cave rainids are typically allied with the more civilized cave-dwelling races, most commonly exiled drow and myconids who they work to rehabilitate in the case of the former and in the latter case, they trade knowledge with freely. They are usually hostile to the more chaotic and evil denizens of the dark. They do get along decently well with dwarves, elves and gnomes, occassionally trading with them and offering safe haven and safe passage to them if needed.

gollark: No idea. `ip r list ff02::aeae` doesn't say anything at all about it, but that is also the case for some *working* addresses on the LAN.
gollark: * in one of them
gollark: I'm trying to send packets to `ff02::aeae` port 44718, which is *meant* to be one of the multicast IP ranges for service discovery and stuff.
gollark: It's a multicast thing, it *should*, if I understood the specs right, just go to everything on the same LAN.
gollark: Well, I have no idea *what's* going on with this.
