Carvers (3.5e Race)

Carvers

Personality

Carvers are quiet attuned with nature and the spirits around them, however this is not to say that when threatened they won't be as vicious as an orc, they think on there feet and respect honorable warriors especially those they have been side to side with in battle.

Physical Description

Carvers stand an average of six to 6 and a half feet tall, are usually well built weighing an average of 110kg(roughly 220lb's). Carver women stand slightly shorter and weight a little less then carver men. Carvers skin color varies from clan to clan, some common skin colors are blue, red, green and black, although many other variations exist. Carvers like to grow there hair long, including there facial hair, there hair colors vary from black, to brown to gray, although gray hair is not necessarily affiliated with age.

Carvers reach adulthood at 20 and live to an average of 100. Carvers have some similarity's with orcs, such as the rough skin and the wide nostrils, they have pointed ears much like that of an half-elf, and a slightly reptilian complexion. there eyes are often such colors as orange or green, also red is not uncommon.

Relations

Carvers are not a predominantly evil race, however they do enjoy the company of such creatures as orcs or gnolls, they hate creatures smaller then they such as halflings or gnomes, they feel especially angered when they are proved weaker in combat then such races. They oppose humans and elves although do not hate them and tolerate dwarves hating there lawful nature but respecting there military prowess.

Alignment

Carvers are not predominantly evil or good, they are likely to be chaotic, and are rarely lawful, although they seem to work well in large society's despite that.

Lands

The Bulk Carver clans are nomadic, having hundreds of members, however some gather together into Villages, Towns or even large Cities, with populations well over one hundred thousand, in either case, Carvers tend to live in temperate forests and plains, but are more than capable of adapting to both very hot and cold environments (hence the +2 racial bonus on fort saves to resist the effects of weather).

Religion

The carver deity is Cannagundae (Can-ah-goon-day), a male god of war and building. Canagundae is chaotic neutral. His domains are War, Chaos, Nature, and Community. Some other carvers will choose such deities as Kord, Grumsh, or even Pelor.
