Burnt Soul (3.5e Creature)

At a distance the burnt soul appears to look like a normal humanoid, however as it comes out of the shadows its badly blistered and burnt skin comes into view. It's fingers are split, revealing blade like claws that are as shocking in appearance the sharp, bent teeth that protrude from its mouth.

Burnt Souls are often found in areas where there is a lot of fear and suffering. They are drawn to these locations from the Twisted Plane to feed on the strong emotions.

Combat

A burnt soul can survive without emotions to feed on but if it comes into contact with such emotions, the burnt soul becomes more powerful.

Festering Hunger (Ex): When a Burnt soul is near strong emotions of sadness, anger or fear it gains a +2 Strength bonus, and also becomes immune to any mind effecting abilities. As soon as there is no emotions of anger of fear within a 50ft radius, the burnt soul loses its bonuses.
