Boon of the Bulwark (5e Epic Boon)
Boon of the Bulwark
Many claim to be masters, but few across all the planes approach what you’re capable of while wearing heavy armor and wielding a shield.
- If you take the Attack action on your turn, you can freely make a single attempt to Shove a creature within 5 feet of you with your shield, without spending your Bonus Action. This attempt can be made before or after attacking.
- Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing damage you take from weapon attacks is reduced by one-half of your Armor Class (rounded down), as you are able to absorb and deflect blows with your shield and armor. This damage reduction does not apply if you are Surprised or while you are Incapacitated.
- You can don or doff any armor with just an action, and you can don or doff any shield with just a bonus action.
You must have attained either heavy armor mastery or shield mastery before you can gain the Boon of the Bulwark. You must be proficient with Shields and have one equipped to use the free Shove attempt. You must be proficient with Heavy Armor and have it donned for the damage reduction to apply.

gollark: It's probably better than being stuck on bad units forever.
gollark: I'm not sure how much that would actually cost. If a lot, maybe some sort of incremental approach could somehow work.
