Weapon (longsword), legendary (requires attunement) The Bloodthirster is an ancient taboo weapon sought by the cruelest of beings. It drains the life of anything the blade touches. The longsword has a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls with the properties of a vicious weapon. When you hit a hostile creature with Bloodthirster, you regain hit points back equal to double the total amount of damage dealt. If this would exceed the hit point maximum, it instead grants temporary hit points up to a maximum of 20. You must finish a short or long rest before you can regain hit points in this way again.
