Blood Drinker (3.5e Equipment)

The Blood Drinker is a rather strange looking blade, the edges being serrated by pits along both the top and bottom side of the flat, which lead to the handle, which is hollow, allowing a flask to be inserted which fills with blood. A full medium-sized flask weighs 1 lbs; flasks of larger weapons double in weight per size step. It takes two successful hits on a living creature to fill the flask, which is a free action to remove and replace, provoking an attack of opportunity.

The SRD only gives a means to determine costs and weights of weapons for Large and Small versions based on the Medium weapons. Any other supplied values are the author's best determination.

Also, when using this weapon when the vial is full, you take a -1 penalty to attack rolls, as well as a -1 penalty to attack rolls if there is no flask in it, as the flask is the pommel stone.
