Blitz Twist Player

Famous and local athletes with uncanny battle techniques. They are active participates in Blitz Twist Underwater-Polo games and championships. They are professional swimmers who can spend all day practicing moves underwater. They sometimes double as village guardians, fighting off any hostile monsters or pirates. They are always optimistic sportsmen who will do anything to win. This attitude can sometimes get them into trouble or provoke evil intentions. Always prepared for fame and fortune they have an attractive aura which the ladies can't resist.

Making a Blitz Twist Player

Blitz Twist Players serve as front-line fighters. They do not have as many hit points as other warrior classes but benefit from heightened shield and ranged defenses. They are also very maneuverable in and out of water. It is also encouraged that they use special water weapons made just for Blitzer's. See Water Weapons.

Primary Abilities: Strength.

Secondary Abilities: Charisma.

Races: Any. Most Blitz Twist Players are Aquatic creatures.

Alignment: Any nonlawful.

Class Features

All of the following are class features of the Blitz Twist Player.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Simple, Martial Weapons. Light, Medium, Heavy Armor and Shields. (Except Tower Shields.)


Goalie (Ex): At 1st level you recieve a +2 insight bonus to Armor Class against ranged attacks.

Pads (Ex): At 2nd level any equipment's armor check penalties are reduced by 4. This is taken separately for each piece of equipment.

Sportsmanship (Ex): At 3rd level you may add your Charisma modifier to all your saves.

Athlete's Strength (Ex): At 4th level you receive a +1 to your Strength score. This bonus stacks every 4 levels.

Ariel Blitz (Ex): At 5th level you can use a special technique, once an encounter, as a move action. Make a Jump check (DC 10). If you succeed you may move up to 60 feet in any direction, in a straight line. You may jump over opponents, you provoke no opportunity attacks, and you take no falling damage. However, you must land adjacent to a opponent or an ally. Check failure means your move action is used up for the round.

Buckler Blitz (Ex): At 6th level you gain a +1 shield bonus and a +2 fortitude bonus when using a Buckler Shield.

Lightweight (Ex): At 7th level you may move at your base speed in Heavy Armor and when carrying a Medium or Heavy Load.

Casual Fish (Su): At 9th level you can take-10 on Swim checks, even under stress. You also gain a +2 to Jump checks.

Delay Attack (Ex): At 10th level you can make a special attack, once an encounter, as a standard action. Make a single attack adding your Charisma modifier to hit. If successful your target cannot make any move actions on their next turn. They also become shaken. A shaken character suffers a -2 to attacks, ability checks, and saves. This is in addition to any damage taken from the attack.

Pro Catch (Ex): At 11th level you receive an additional +2 insight bonus to Armor Class against ranged attacks.

Sprinter (Ex): At 13th level you can run at six times your base land speed.

Jumper (Ex): At 14th level you can make a Jump check (DC 20) to nullify all Falling damage up to the height of 100ft.

Twisted Blitz (Su): At 15th level you can summon inhuman speed, once a day, as a swift action. You summon the affects of Haste spell upon yourself and they last for a number of rounds equal to your Charisma modifier. This swift action does grant opportunity attacks from any adjacent opponents.

Water Eater (Ex): At 17th level you gain a swim speed of 30 feet. You can also breath water for 6 hours a day.

Scales (Ex): At 18th level you gain Damage reduction 3/-.

Freedom of Movement (Ex): At 19th level you can move and attack as if under the influence of the Freedom of Movement spell. You automatically succeed on any grapple check made to resist a grapple attempt, as well as on grapple checks or Escape Artist checks made to escape a grapple or a pin.

It also allows the subject to move and attack normally while underwater, even with slashing weapons such as axes and swords or with bludgeoning weapons such as flails, hammers, and maces.

Shark Attack (Ex): At 20th level whenever you charge you can make a full attack.

Ex-Blitz Twist Player

If the character becomes lawful or taking levels in barbarian class, then she cannot progress in levels in this class, though she retains all her class abilities.

Any Blitz Twist Player who takes a level in any spellcasting or psionic class, he will suffers a temporary -3 to their Charisma score for 3 days. They also lose the Casual Fish ability and their bonus for the Goalie ability becomes a dodge bonus, not an insight bonus.

Water Breather (Ex): At 21st level you gain a swim speed of 60 feet. You can also breath water indefinitely.

Perfect Catch (Ex): At 22nd level you gain an additional +2 insight bonus against ranged attacks.

Improved Ariel Blitz (Ex): At 25th level you can use a special technique, once an encounter, as a move action. Make a Jump check (DC 20). If you succeed you may move up to 90 feet in any direction, in a straight line. You may jump over opponents, you do not provoke oppurtunity attacks, and you take no falling damage. However, you must land adjacent to a opponent or an ally.

Shark Scales (Ex): At 29th level you gain Damage Reduction 6/cold.

Improved Delay Attack (Ex): At 30th level you can make a special attack, once an encounter, as a standard action. Make a single attack adding your (Charisma modifier +2) to hit. If succesful your target cannot make any move, full round, or standard actions on their next turn. They can make swift, free, or immediate actions. Your target also becomes shaken. A shaken character suffers a -2 to attacks, ability checks, and saves. This is in addition to any damage taken from the attack.


Campaign Information

Blitz Twist Player's enjoy a good competition and like to "play rough".

Playing a Blitz Twist Player

Religion: By alignment.

Other Classes: Empathy with Martial classes.

Combat: Defender. They don't have as many hit points as other tank classes but they can use Buckler Shields masterfully with a two handed weapon.

Advancement: Multiclassing can add breadth.
