Blackwood Grove (The Blackroot Falls Supplement)
The Blackwood Grove is a large copse of ancient Blackwood trees, comprising nearly the entire northwestern sector of the Falls. It is, by and large, the darkest and thickest grove in the Falls, so dark that, sometimes, it is impossible to determine whether it is day or night. The ancient, thick canopy and the black bark of the surrounding trees absorb nearly all light, so that very little sun reaches the forest floor.

The Blackwood Grove is home to the Lock Keeper, where his small, ash-black cottage sits in the middle of a very small clearing, nestled against a particularly calm stretch of the White Bloom River. Creatures seeking the counsel of the Lock Keeper would do well to be vigilant when searching the Blackwood Grove. There are a number of danger lurking beyond the overbearing thickness of the surrounding trees.
