Black Warden

The beleif that magic can better the world is perhaps the greatest illusion ever made, in the end all it does is corrupt...That's where I come in
—Tyran Hanyou, Human Black Warden, Overheard by Boneshanks Mcgraw in The Dragons Hoard Inn

The Role of the Black Warden is simple, if it's casting spells interrupt it with a flash of steel.

Becoming a Black Warden

Characters become Black Wardens for a number of reasons, maybe a coven had wronged them in the past, maybe they fear magic or maybe they just wish to control it.

Class Features

Detect Magic(Ex): A Black Warden at 1st level may now detect magic as the spell at will, however this is never considered a magical effect

Mage Bane(Ex): At second level and every even level afterwards a Black Warden gains a cumulative +1 against any sort of spellcaster.

Anti-Magic Strike(Ex): At third level a Black Warden gains the ability to have any successful hit she make her Black Warden level times a day to work as if the spell dispel magic had been cast upon the target of her attacks using her HD as the caster level.

Anti-Magic Armor(Ex): By fifth level a Black Warden's sheer hatred of magic has granted her a resistance to magic granting the effect of having a spell resistance of 12+her HD+her CHA modifier. This is not cumulative with any other source of spell resistance.

Aura of Anti-Magic(Ex): At seventh level a Black Warden will can disrupt spells cast near her. A spellcaster within 15 feet of a Black Warden is subject to an additional arcane spell failure as if they were wearing armor for the purposes of how this functions adding twice the Black Warden's level+ her CHA modifier to the Arcane spell failure to any spellcaster including those not normally subject to arcane spell failure like druids. In such instances only the arcane spellfailure from this source will count.

Anti-Magic Field(Ex): At ninth level a Black Warden produces an anti-magic field as the spell as if it was cast by a wizard of his HD

gollark: With good compression you could probably exchange multiple memeHz.
gollark: Why not use digital meme exchange though? This is more efficient.
gollark: Yes, I tried harder.
gollark: Oh, right. Done.
gollark: I can't read that.
