Class Features

. All of the following are class features of the Beast Within.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Beast Withins gain proficiency with all natural attacks, but gain no proficiency with any armor or shield You may not use Call on the Beast within if you are wearing armor that causes a druid to lose it's abilities.

Call on the Beast Within You may spend a wild shape and gain additional benefits based on the levels of Beast within the wild shape still lasts the typical 1 hour - all benefits are extraordinary and as such without Identical Wild Shape you gain no benefits from this class feature. (also sorry about this - I really don't want to fight with the wiki table generator...)

1st: every 1d6 rounds you get +2 strength, +2 dexterity, and +2 constitution for one round as a free action.

2nd: You gain rend (this is still an extraordinary ability - and stacks with rend on the animal you chose's rend if it has one).

3rd: You gain darkvision out to 60 feet - if your form already has darkvision instead you gain darkvision 120 feet.

4th: every 1d4 rounds you get +3 strength, +3 dexterity, and +3 constitution for one round as a free action - this replaces the bonus at 1st level.

5th: When you wild shape with Call on the beast within any form you choose to take automatically has hit dice equal to the previous classes' level + the levels in Beast Within. ^

6th: Your natural weapons are improved by one size (maximum d12)

7th: every 1d3 rounds you get +4 strength, +4 dexterity, and +4 constitution for one round as a free action - this replaces the bonus at 4th level.

8th: Any enchantment on your natural weapons in non-wild shape also confer their abilities in your Call on the Beast within.

9th: You receive no penalty for attacking with a secondary natural weapon.

10th: every 1d2 rounds you get +5 strength, +5 dexterity, and +5 constitution for one round as a free action - this replaces the bonus at 7th level.

^: This assumes you have one class before Beast Within - if you have multiple classes giving you wild shape use the most beneficial - also due to the very nature of this extraordinary ability being that you can have more hit dice than the level of the previous class you may ignore that rule.

Natural weapon enhancement: Your natural weapons (if you have any) in your non wild shape form gain a +1 weapon enchantment as well as a bonus that confers a +1 bonus (such as flaming). This gives you no benefit while in wild shape (but see call of the beast within's level 8 bonus). You get a +2 bonus (such as holy) at level 4, +3 bonus (such as flaming AND holy)at 6, +4 bonus (such as Bane AND holy) at 8, and +5 bonus (such as haste and holy) at level 10.

At third level, seventh level, and ninth level you get +1 to your previous class - except for purposes of casting spells. Your ability to cast spells for that bonus level is lost to the beast within (which without a feat can not cast spells).

At fourth level your non-wild shaped form gains a set of claws - they do 1d6 damage (for a medium creature) each whenever you wild shape you may choose the most beneficial of your natural weapons or the animals.

At sixth level your non-wild shaped form gains a bite attack - it does 1d6 damage (for a medium creature). Your full round attack with natural weapons is 2 claw attacks and a bite (using the same penalty for attacking with a secondary natural weapon - see 9th level of call on the beast within)

At eighth level your claws increase to 1d8 damage.

At tenth level you get second use of call on the beast within

As a druid would.

Playing a Beast Within

Combat: Defender/Striker Due to the beast within giving your wild shape more oopmh every so often you will typically be using the wild shape into Call on the beast within to regain lost hit points as well as be able to cause more damage than normal

Advancement: Honestly - this class doesn't advance out of well... Although your likely building it on a druid so this shouldn't be anything new for you...

Resources: Your number one resource is yourself - given the animals you have to choose from and improving them further ... there isn't much you can't do on your own if you have to - that being said Beast withins tend to have a group of tightly nit friends that they travel with - and be very slow to meet others...
