Automated Weapons

A weapon component can be fit with automatic loaders and turrets, as beloved by tinker gnomes.

Automated weapons requires only one crewmember, who must have proficiency with tinker's tools, for a whole component. However, there are the following drawbacks:

  • The component costs twice as much.
  • The component requires 1 Power Point to function, or 2 Power Points if it has turreted weapons.
  • The component cannot be the subject of a direct weapons action.
  • The component cannot be loaded or operated manually at all.

gollark: How would that even work? It's not like all the routes are identical, that would be a very unreasonable race.
gollark: I did rock climbing a bit last year, and you actually *can* stop for a bit on some positions on the wall without anything *terrible* happening to you.
gollark: To pointlessly overextend your analogy, if you go down to the bottom you are also *further down*/further from the top, which is bad.
