Arista (5e Deity)

Arista

Alignment. Chaotic Good
Domains. Life
Divine Rank. Lesser Deity Arista is the goddess of drink and passion in the trifadishti pantheon. She is represented as a voluptuous elven women laying on a chaise covered in strips of purple and pink silk. Next to her is a table with several bottles of wine at varying levels of having been consumed. Arista herself has bright cheeks and purple eyes and appears to be slightly intoxicated herself. She never stands from her chaise and often appears lazy and loafing. She often appears to her followers of particular faithfulness and needless to say, has a rather extensive collection of sons and daughters.

Arista's teachings are not so different from Snofach's who is considered her brother. Arista teaches the same ethics of fine wine and art but believes that these things along with pleasurable company and fine dining should be available to all, not just the rich. It is said that to follow Arista is to see all things as wealth and luxury. Port wine in the tavern becomes as rich as the finest rum and scraps off the stove become as wonderful as a smoked brisket in the kingdom. She teaches her followers that we should view everything in the world as the finest it could be.

Arista's churches look exceptionallt different from one another. Some are large elegant halls and some are little more than a shack with a roof. Arista is celebrated through large gatherings in which any may attend. The poor, the weak and the sick are all equally welcome at the party which occurs in the 18th of every month. This festival is celebrate what you have and to wish for better gains at the same time. For this reason Arista has a large common following and if therefore looked down upon by the more noble classes of society.
