Argus (5e Race)
Argus
Physical Description
Argus are covered head to toe in thousands of blinking eyes. While the eyes can be the same size and color, they can sometimes vary. Each eye can move independently of the others.
Lifestyle
Having a million eyes can be both a blessing and a curse. It can give them advantage in certain fields that others can't, but it is very hard for them to integrate into society or live a normal life. Most Argus take up jobs as guards or watchmen.
Beliefs
The most famous Argus, Panoptes, was a herdsman who guarded sacred cows. The arcane trickster Hermes had decided to wait until Argus had fallen asleep and kill him, stealing the cows for himself. Most of The Argus use this as a cautionary tale, teaching that no one can be completely aware at all times.
