Ani-Men, Serpent-Man (3.5e Race)

The Serpent-Men

Personality

With hearts blacker than the moonless night, the serpent-men look out only for themselves and only view others as a means to an end. Serpent-men are devious and slithery. Many people have trouble dealing with them because of their high aptitude and uncanny charm. Ever clever, serpent-men are able to influence people who would be their enemies and manipulate of their side.

Physical Description

Serpent-men are fairly short, standing about 5 feet tall, weighing around 100 lbs. The females are not much different, but they both look very much the same. All serpent-men have the head of a snake, combined with scaly skin, but the color varies from person to person. The rest of a serpent-man's body is still human-shaped.

Serpent-men do not live particularly long lives, reaching adulthood age age 16, and living 130 years on average.

Relations

Because of their personalities, serpent-men are not ones for forming lasting friendships. Even if they do, it never lasts long. If anything, humans and other serpent-men will interact, but it is uneasy at best.

Alignment

The serpent-men care nothing for people, preferring to spend their days in the pursuit of power. Serpent-men do not care one way or the other about law, and they care nothing for the lives of anyone except themselves, so serpent-men are usually evil.

Lands

Serpent-men do not claim any lands as their own, and it is rare you will find more than one in the same place. However, many wizard's labs are known for being the home or workplace of serpent-men. Many serpent-men are known to have labs and homes below the surface.

Religion

Most serpent-men hate religion and refuse to get involved in such matters. If it were up to them, it would be so that only the occasional evil or magical deity would exist. Therefore, though serpent-men rarely have a patron deity, it would most likely be Nerull, the god of death, or Wee Jas, the goddess of death and magic.

Language

Serpent-men speak Common and Terran, as it was believed long ago that snakes were of the earth. Since serpent-men are studious and smart, they can learn just about any language if they want.

Names

Serpent-men take human names.

gollark: The second ones are easier to implement using existing reference handling functionality.
gollark: Hmm, should I keep the traditional Minoteaur `[[displayed text|page title]]` wikilinks or do `[displayed text][page title]` ones for Minoteaur 8?
