Adamantine spiders are [[4e Index (4e Other)#homunculus|homunculi]] created to protect their owners from attacks. They are usually used by drow, who use them to deliver drow poison.

Adamantine Spider Tactics
Adamantine spiders are often tasked with guarding another creature, usually its creator. It relies on its drow poison to incapacitate attackers.

A character knows the following information with a successful arachana or [[4e Index (4e Other)#Arcana skill|arcana]] [[4e Index (4e Other)#skill check|check]].
- DC 15 (arachana), DC 20 (arcana): An adamantine spider can be filled with poison (usually drow poison), which they deliver with their bites.
Encounter Groups
Adamantine spiders are found with their owners (usually drow priestesses or drow arcanists).
