MIT group

The MIT group was a group of people at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology who studied Conway's Game of Life in the early 1970s. Members of the group included Robert April, Michael Beeler, Bill Gosper, Richard Howell, Rici Liknaitzky, Bill Mann, Rich Schroeppel, and Michael Speciner.

Patterns found by the MIT group

gollark: Apiothaumohazard?
gollark: Apiopistohazards, which can pray to the apiotheohazards in the sky for magical powers.
gollark: Apiopatrohazards, which are your father.
gollark: Apionautokohazards, which control fleets!
gollark: How about apionuktohazards, which are camouflaged somehow by removing visibility in an area around them??
