Spaceships
On February 17, 2013 Josh Ball discovered the first c/7 orthogonal spaceship, the loafer.
Using caterloopillar technology, Michael Simkin constructed a c/7 orthogonal ship on April 16, 2016.[1]
On February 4, 2017, Matthias Merzenich discovered 339P7H1V0, a large p7 width-19 bilaterally-symmetric c/7 orthogonal spaceship. These ships can be chained by nontrivial spark interactions to produce an infinite number of distinct c/7 orthogonal spaceships.[2]
Guns
Loafer can be synthesized from 8 gliders, allowing the construction of guns.[3]
gollark: I just tried it again, and yes, I was right, my fist hurts.
gollark: If I punched walls I would just have very sore fists.
gollark: Yes, that being referenced in stuff always confused me.
gollark: Per-gender afterlives?
gollark: But how?
