Big A
Big A (or simply A[1]) is a tagalong for two xWSSes which was found by Hartmut Holzwart[2] no later than May 1998. Jason Summers found a 19-glider synthesis for the LWSS variant of the resulting spaceship on September 26, 2007.[1] In August 2009 this synthesis was used by Nathaniel Johnston and Matthias Merzenich to build guns with periods 690[3] and 144[2] respectively.
