87P26 is a period-26 oscillator discovered by Matthias Merzenich on August 7, 2015.[1] It is composed of a 53P13 found by "Bullet51"[2] interacting with a period-2 component. In terms of its minimum population of 87 cells, it is currently the smallest known non-trivial period 26 oscillator.
