Digikam
Digikam is a KDE-based image organizer with built-in editing features via a plugin architecture.
Installation
Non-KDE Installations
In order to allow icons to display (no missing icons) correctly when you are not running a KDE desktop environment you must install a KDE icon theme and activate it in Digikam's settings.
Once installed you should configure Digikam to use the icons:
- Navigate to Settings > Configure digiKam > Miscellaneous
- Now in Appearance, select "Breeze" or "Breeze Dark" as Icon Theme
Restart Digikam and enjoy consistent icons within the app.
Troubleshooting

DigiKam has its own widget style setting. If tooltips are either blank (empty rectangles), or unreadable due to a poor foreground and background combination, choose a different widget style:
- Navigate to Settings > Configure digiKam > Miscellaneous
- Now in Appearance, choose "Fusion" as Widget Style
From Digikam's docs:
- Fusion style is the best choice under all desktop
