Simon's Cat/YMMV
- Crowning Moment of Heartwarming: The end of 'Hop It', with Simon's Cat sparing the bunny, and getting hugged for it.
- Ear Worm: The theme music, introduced in Beyond the Fence, will stay stuck in your head forever.
- Narm: A kind of "in-universe" example can be seen in 'Double Trouble' when the kitten finally gets his paws on the cat's food bowl. The cat tries to get it back, and in response the kitten crouches low, his fur stands on end, he lets out a meow/growl of warning and he gives an angry look. He's obviously trying to be threatening, but he ends up looking adorable and funny instead. An unusual example in that this isn't the fault of the animator, it's just how things can be with cats in real life.
- No Such Thing As Bad Attention: Done very subtly in 'TV Dinner': after the cat tries (and fails) to get Simon's attention by meowing, he starts scratching the arm of the couch. Simon snaps his fingers at the cat to try to get him to stop, and you can see the cat smile and resume scratching as if he's thinking, "Hmm, that got his attention!"
