Mister India
Mr. India is a 1987 film directed by the guy who would later make Elizabeth. The film is an homage/spoof of the Bond movie formula and also one of the rare Bollywood superhero movies. Perhaps most famous for the Big Bad Mogambo, second only to Gabbar Singh in cinema infamy among Indians, and played by Amrish Puri (Mola Ram to Indiana Jones fans). The titular character of Mr. India is played by Anil Kapoor and his love interest is Sridevi.
The plot goes that Arun Verma (Kapoor) is a violinist with a penchant of collecting orphans due to being one himself, but with a career so unestable that he is forced to subrent the last free room of his house to a journalist, Seema Soni (Sridevi). Thanks to a former family friend, Arun ends with an artifact designed by his late father, a scientist: a watch that gives the wearer the ability of becoming invisible. And just on time he founds the artifact, because the brilliant but insane Mogambo, a former Army General bent into conquering India, is also looking for said artifact for his nefarious plans. Now is up to Arun to defeat the villain.
