Koishi Komeiji's Heart-Throbbing Adventure/YMMV
- Canon Defilement:
- Byakuren is an Evil Overlord.
- Koakuma is evil and behind the whole thing.
- Complete Monster: While the Hate Plague events make it somewhat ambiguous for a couple folks, Koakuma and Reisen II are unambiguously this. The former plotting the deaths of as many people as possible to farm their powers, and the latter turning Ran and Chen into living bombs to kill Yukari off mark them as truly monstrous with no excuses.
- High Octane Nightmare Fuel: The only thing stopping the series from being this continuously is the art style.
- Tear Jerker:
- When it's not being over-the-top violent, it's being this.
- In particular, Sanae's backstory in Part 7 is utterly heartbreaking.
- Double points for managing this after Sanae crossed the Moral Event Horizon in her torture of Kogasa.
- Made even worse by the music through that whole episode, especially "The World of Midnight".
- Woolseyism: The various insults used in the series are rather creatively adapted, but the clearest use is when Rumia introduces herself with "Yo homies, where da smokes at?" in the English subs.
